Relation of Monomer Structure with Thermal Stability of UV Coatings Film

The title UV curing coatings is prepared based on epoxy acrylate, reactive diluents and photoinitiator. The main raw materials and cured film are tested with TGA. It has shown that the thermal stability of reactive diluents varies with its functionality and higher functionality leads to better thermal stability; for reactive diluents with same functionalities, higher polarity leads better thermal stability. The conclusion in this paper will provide a good reference for proper selection of reactive diluents for UV curing coatings.
