This paper attempts to investigate on actual command of intercultural competence and intercultural sensitivity among Chinese College non-English majors.SPSS12.0 software is employed to fulfill the statistic work.A few characteristics in teaching and learning in Chinese EFL context are proposed.Then it examines the correlation between intercultural competence and intercultural sensitivity using SPSS12.0 to discuss the feasibility whether people's intercultural competence can be improved by raising their intercultural sensitivity levels.It points to a new outlet to solving the problem how to improve intercultural competence.Finally,it offers advice for further studies in intercultural communication in Chinese EFL context.
