Study on antidepressant-like effect of ginseng stems and leaves saponins(GSLS)and ginseng roofs sapmins(GRS)

Objective To study the antidepressant-like effect of the ginseng stems and leaves saponins(GSLS)and ginseng roots saponins(GRS).Method The method of rats forced-swimming test was abopted to study the antidepressant-like effect.Result The lower and higher dose of GSLS and GRS both could suppress significantly the accumulated immobility time of rats forced-swimming.Conclusion GSLS and GRS possesses antidepressant-like effect.
