Anticancer activity of some isothiazolo[5,4-b]pyridine derivatives.

Two small series of derivatives of isothiazolopyridine with the tertiary amine base center bridged through a methylene or 2-hydroxypropylene chain were tested in vitro for anticancer activity. The results of the preliminary studies showed that the compounds, especially those with a 2-hydroxypropylene spacer, exhibited a broad spectrum of anticancer action observed at a concentration of approximately 20 mM/L at the GI50 level.
