Energy-transfer enhanced Cr 3+ /Ni 2+ co-doped tantalate phosphors for broadband NIR pc-LED applications

This study synthesized Cr 3+ /Ni 2+ co-doped Mg 2 LaTaO 6 NIR phosphors. The energy transfer from Cr 3+ to Ni 2+ enhanced NIR-II emission, showing potential applications in fruit freshness detection, information encryption, and biological imaging.
