Palladium-catalyzed Heck/polyfluoroarylation of alkene-tethered carbamoyl chlorides with polyfluoroarenes

We developed a Pd-catalyzed Heck/polyfluoroarylation cascade to synthesize polyfluoroarylated oxindoles with all-carbon quaternary centers from alkene-tethered carbamoyl chlorides. The reaction was extended to a three-component one-pot protocol using amines, BTC, and polyfluoroarenes, with preliminary asymmetric results achieved.
