The present meta-analysis examined the relationship between perceived HPWS and job performance (include task performance and contextual performance) and the moderating effects from national cultures (power distance, collectivism, and performance orientation). Based on 50 HPWS-job performance effect sizes from 18,026 individuals in 10 countries, we found that perceived HPWS is positively related to both task performance (corrected r = .32) and contextual performance (corrected r = .45). However, the moderating effects of national cultures on HPWS-task and HPWS-contextual performance relationships were not significant in the multilevel models for meta- analysis.
