摘要
Light harvesting is a key step in photosynthesis but creation of synthetic light-harvesting systems (LHSs) with high efficiency has been challenging. In their Communication on page 1643 ff., S. Zhang and co-workers report a “natural” design LHS prepared by the entrapment of chromophores in cross-linked reverse vesicles (cRVs). Aided by the confined nanospace of the vesicles, the system achieved excellent light-harvesting efficiency and luminescence upon transfer from the organic phase to the water phase.
