The Diradicaloid Electronic Structure of Dialumenes: a Benchmark Study at the Full-CI Limit

The electronic structure of the dialumene Al 2 H 2 is analyzed up to a practical Full-CI limit, benchmarking DFT and WFT methods for energies and densities. Coupled cluster theory captures the diradical character well, while DF approximations struggle.
