Base-promoted synthesis of α,β-unsaturated amides via C–N bond formation using α,β-unsaturated acids and isothiocyanates

An efficient metal-free strategy is reported for the synthesis of α,β-unsaturated amides from α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids with isothiocyanates.
