Abstract To solve the problem of misalignment vibration of magnetic suspension multi-span rotors, a phase-shift notch filter-based misalignment vibration control method is proposed in this paper. First, the dynamic model of magnetic suspension multi-span rotors is modeled, and the vibration characteristics of the multi-span rotors are analyzed. Then, the principle and structure of the phase-shift notch filter are analyzed. The parallel phase-shift notch filter is used to control the same frequency and twice the frequency vibration of the multi-span rotor speed. At the same time, the phase compensation angle is further introduced to solve the closed-loop system instability problem caused by carrying out the algorithm. Finally, the control method is verified by simulations and experiments to have a good control effect on the misalignment vibration. The effect of vibration control at the same frequency and twice the frequency of the magnetic suspension multi-span rotor speed is obvious. This control method provides a new solution to the misalignment vibration of the magnetic suspension multi-span rotors.
