Isolation,purification and primary characterization of osteopontin from bovine milk

The centrifugal defatted bovine milk was separated and purified by biochemical technique,including ion-exchange chromatography,hydrophobic chromatography and dialysis.The fractions containing osteopontin was identified by SDS-PAGE and Western Blot.Osteopontin with high purity was obtained and its molecular weight was 60kDa.This article mainly elaborate the method about isolation,purification and primary characterization of osteopontin from bovine milk,this provides basis for next step research about the functionality of osteopontin.
