The Pact of Chanyuan was the turning point of the war between the dynasties of Song and Liao,which led to a peaceful situation after the war.However,there have existed various remarks on this accident historically.The Pact of Chanyuan was the product of the force poise between the two powers.After the pact came into being,there appeared a hundred years' peaceful situation,which,of course,was favorable to the stability and development of the society.But the passive political consequences brought by the pact cannot be neglected.
