A small amount of LaNi 5 was added to improve the hydrogen sto rage performance of FeTi 1.2 .No LaNi 5 phase was detected in the alloys by XRD,but the hydrogen storage capabilities of FeTi 1.2 ,especially activation characteris tic,are greatly improved and the alloys have higher hydrogen storage capacity.The desorption capacity o f FeTi 1.2 +2wt%LaNi 5 is 186.4ml /g at 333K,which is greate r than 172.3ml /g for FeTi 1.2 .
