In order to track the beacon facular accurately and in real time for coarse tracking system in free-space optical communication,an experimental system for ATP simulation for free-space optical communication was established. The coarse and fine tracking systems were introduced in detail, and further tracking simulations were performed on this system. The experimental results show that the coarse tracking system can keep the optical target within the field of view of the fine tracking system, and the tracking error is less than 200 μrad. And the tracking error of the fine tracking is less than 15 μrad, which can meet the requirement of communication.
