Changes in activites of peroxidase, catalase, polyphenol oxidase and phenylalanine ammonia lyase in water bamboo during infection with Rhizoctonia solani
The relationship between the biochemical changes and the resistances to sheath blight of the three water bamboo cultivars were studied in this paper. The results showed that the activities of catalase, polyphenol oxidase and phenylalanine ammonia lyase in resistant cultivar were higher than that in susceptible cultivar. After inoculation with Rhizoctonia solani, the activities of peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase and phenylalanine ammonia lyase in these cultivars were increased variously, and had a higher peak in resistant cultivar, but the activity of phenylalanine ammonia lyase was increased in the susceptible cultivar.
