Preparation of Sodium Alginate/Coal Ash/Polyvinyl Alcohol(PVA) Composite Superabsorbent by Freeze Method

As a kind of natural biopolymer,sodium alginate had many advantages such as abundant resources,low cost,biodegradable and renewable.It was a desirable fuctional material which could be used as a superabsorbent polymer.Sodium algae/coal ash/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) composites were prepared by freeze method.The water absorbencies,salt tolerance,water-remaining ability,mechanic strength of the composites and surface configuration were studied.
