Research Drying Technology on Panax Notoginseng

Panax Notoginseng is an unique precious traditional Chinese medicine in China,and enhancing Panax Notoginseng quality has been becoming a hot topic for improving drying technology.The research advances at home and abroad in recent years in the Panax Notoginseng characteristics,drying methods,drying theory,drying process,drying equipment were reviewed in this paper;The physics and chemistry characteristic of Panax Notoginseng and the advantages and disadvantages of different Panax Notoginseng drying methods were compared and analyzed on the basis of the research progress of Panax Notoginseng and present the problems;And suppositions and propose solutions in this hot topic,which would include a form of fresh Panax Notoginseng water,the moisture migration and heat transfer rules in drying,mathematical modeling of drying,drying mechanism,etc,were suggested.
