On the Relationship between Subject and Object in Editorship

Preparing an edition of another′ work is a course during which the editorial subject affects the editorial object. Editorial subject and object depend on each other, contradict with each other. All the above constitute the system of editorship. In that system the editorial subject always occupies the dominant role, controlling the change of the system and the relationship of the system with the outside. The contradicting and conforming relationship between editorial subject and editorial object makes its conscious appearance mainly in the following three links: designing and choosing topics, organizing manuscripts, editing contributions.
