The Nature of Cishi Pagoda and its Building Age

Yueyang Cishi Pagoda is the oldest pagoda in Hunan Province. It is the Buddish pagoda and not a pagoda to protect people from evil. About its building age ,it was said to be built in Jing Dynasty, Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty. The existing Pagoda was built in South Song Dynasty,it was built by the famous Anti-Jin General Meng Gong as promoting the good-oriented,mercy spirit.
