摘要
Abstract In this chapter, I present an overview of language documentation and revitalization focused on the Amazonian context, drawing from several case studies. Prominent areas where language documentation in the Amazon has played and continues to play a significant role are in the innovative use of collaborative or participatory documentation models (i.e., Yamada, 2011 , 2014 ; Stenzel, 2014 ). I use the case studies highlighted here to expand upon a model of documentation and revitalization that acts as a feedback loop ( Fitzgerald, 2017a ; Fitzgerald & Hinson, 2013 , 2016 ). The resources produced through documentation, revitalization, training and analysis, especially when archived and accessible, will likely be invaluable resources for Amazonian communities engaged in revitalization, as is the case in North America.
