This study aims to develop the Korean types of university-based continuing care retirement community (CCRC). CCRC is well evaluated as a housing that applies aging-in place concept, which is ideal for seniory housing. Recently, in USA the continuing care retirement community(CCRC) in which the increasing seniors’ population and older households are guaranteed to get continuous protection without moving regardless of their deteriorating health are increasing. In Korea, although community-affiliated CCRCs have emerged, university-based CCRCs are still absent in status quo. Using case study to identify the characteristics of community facilities and programs designed to get support for social engagement and leisure activities while enjoying continuous living support in the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) programs. This study is expected to be used basic materials for CCRCs’ complex and architectural planning, facility management and college-linked community programs.
