Trapped copper in [6]cycloparaphenylene: a fully-exposed Cu7single cluster for highly active and selective CO electro-reduction

DFT calculations suggested that the confined space of [6]CPP is ideal to encapsulate copper atoms to form a fully-exposed Cu 7 cluster which promotes the electro-reduction of CO to produce formaldehyde in a highly active and selective way.
