Selection of Ion Exchange Resins for Desalination of 1,3-Propanediol Fermentation Broth

Ion exchange resins for treating 1,3-propanediol fermentation broth were studied.Taking exchange capacity,conductivity and regeneration time as the index,desalination effects of six cation exchange resins and three anion exchange resins were investigated.The results show that ion exchange resin D001-cc is best among six cation exchange resins and exchange capacity of 150 mL D001-cc is 240 mL,the conductivity of treated broth is dropped to 2250 μS/cm,and the regeneration time is only about 7 h;Ion exchange resin D301R is best among three anion exchange resins.
