Advances of strontium isotope in sedimentology

The studies on strontium isotope have received rapid developments in all fields of sedimentology,with the continuous development of dissolution technology for strontium isotope samples of marine carbonate,testing method for diagenetic alteration and strontium isotope database of marine sediments in the period of geologic history.Strontium isotope is applied to carry out the researches in the aspects of the provenance analysis,dating marine sediments,paleoclimate and paleoenvironment analysis,water-rock interaction and hydrogeochemistry.The latest progress and development trends in these fields are discussed.
