Objective To investigate the influence of continuous nursing intervention on quality of life in patients with chronic heart failure ( CHF ) . Methods The patients with CHF ( n =139 ) were selected from Jan. 2010 to Dec. 2010, and randomly divided into control group ( n =63 ) and intervention group ( n =76 ) . The control group was given conventional discharge instructions, and intervention group was given continuous nursing intervention after discharging. The quality of life was scored and compared in two groups by using Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire after six months, and the data was analyzed by using t test. Results The readmission rate decreased and scores of quality of life were higher in intervention group than those in control group, but there was no difference in mortality between two groups. Conclusion Continuous nursing intervention can improve the quality of life and reduce recurrence rate in patients with CHF.
