An Experimental Study of the Variability of the Shielding Effectiveness of Circuit Board Shields

The paper examines the variability of the Shielding Effectiveness of board level shields measured in a reverberation chamber at frequencies from 200 MHz to 20 GHz. Results show that at any particular frequency the Shielding Effectiveness exhibits a typical variability of ±20 dB about the mean value.
