Jasmonate Synthesis and Action in Higher Plants

Abstract Jasmonic acid and related fatty acid‐derived compounds regulate a wide range of developmental and defence‐related processes in higher plants. Accumulating evidence indicates that the cellular mechanism of jasmonate signalling is remarkably similar to that involved in the perception of the plant hormone auxin.
