The Design of Ultra-Wideband High Power Dual-Directional Coupler

The directional couplers are important microwave devices. There are many different types of couplers. The common ones are strip line coupler and waveguide coupler. In practical applications, couplers are often used in coaxial systems. In order to meet the demand of the application in coaxial systems, this paper presents an ultra-wideband high power dual-directional coupler. The operation frequency band is 0.7-6GHz. The measured results are consistent with the simulated results. The VSWR measured results are less than 1.15, the coupled results are 41dB, and the insertion loss results are less than 0.1dB. The presented coupler structure has been processed and applied in the measured systems.
