摘要
In this paper, a novel model matching tuning method is proposed for cavity filter. The proposed method does not require to use information about the filter topology. In this proposed method, the systematic sampling method is used to obtain tuning model samples. The corresponding detuned scattering characteristics of these samples are analyzed using full-wave electromagnetics. The parameters of tuning elements and detuned scattering characteristics of the sample are combined to form a tuning model matching library. According to the similarity of the detuned scattering characteristics of the detuned filter and the tuning model samples, the detuned filter is matched with the tuning model samples in the tuning model matching library. Finally, the corresponding deviations of the tuning elements between the tuning model sample and the detuned filter guide the tuning of the detuned filter. A metal cavity filter is taken as an example to verify the feasibility of the tuning method. The results show that the model matching tuning method can achieve efficient tuning.
