Provenance Analysis of Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation in Shanshan Oilfield

With Tectonic and sedimentary evolution process of Xishanyao Formation of Tuha oilfield in mind,based on core observation,logging curves and analytical and testing data,the provenance was determined according to the petrologic feature,sandstone thickness,sand content and mudstone color zoning of different periods. The result show that the main sediments were mainly derived from southern,and far from the provenance. The southeast was the main provenance,while the southwest was secondary provenance,and the provenance during the whole Xishanya changed with time.
