The expression of light field distribution in the absorption layer of resonant cavity enhanced(RCE) photodetector is proposed based on the model of practical design and manufacture,i.e.,the effect of spacer layer is introduced into the continuity equations to solve the transient response of the RCE photodetector.The long wavelength RCE photodetector's transient response including the impulse response,the step response and the pulse response is proposed and theoretically analyzed by considering the effect of load resistance and diode capacitance.The calculation results are given for the photodetectors with different structures' parameters.
