Effects of Midnight- noon Ebb- flow Acupuncture Coordinated with Routine Acupuncture on EGF,TGF- α Levels in Rabbits with Acute Gastric Mucosa Damage

Objective: To explore the mechanism of midnight- noon ebb- flow acupuncture coordinated with routine acupuncture on gastric mucosa of rabbits with acute gastric mucosa damage. Methods: 40 rabbits( male: female = 1: 1) were randomly divided into 5 groups with 8 in each group: normal group,model group,routine acupuncture group,midnight- noon ebb- flow acupuncture( acupoints selected during the period of the day from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m.) coordinated with routine acupuncture group,midnight- noon ebb- flow acupuncture( aeupoint selected during the period of the day from7 a. m. to 9 a. m.) coordinated with routine acupuncture group. Acute gastric mucosa damage models were made by anhydrous ethanol. After seven days of treatment,stomachs were paunched to be taken out,the contents of EGF,TGF- α in gastric mucosa were tested by ELISA method. Results: To compared with normal group,the contents of EGF,TGF- α were obviously increased in all other groups( P 0. 01),those were higher in midnight- noon ebb- flow acupuncture( acupoint selected during the period of the day from 7 a. m. to 9 a. m.) coordinated with routine acupuncture group than those in the others( P 0. 05),contents of EGF,TGF- α in routine acupuncture group and midnight- noon ebb- flow acupuncture( acupoint selected during the period of the day from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m.) coordinated with routine acupuncture group were higher than those in normal group and model group. Conclusion: Midnight- noon ebb- flow acupuncture coordinated with routine acupuncture could improve the synthesis and secretion of EGF,TGF- α, which showed the repairing function to gastric mucosa damage.
