Research of IP Base-station Backhaul Carrying over MAN EPON

With the development of 3G mobile Internet services,Mobile base-station interface gradually shows a trend of high-speed,IP-based interface.In case that the traditional SDH can not meet the demand for base-station carrying.The transformation of 3G base-station backhaul to IPRAN marks a inevitable technological revolution.In order to save the network investment cost and SDH's insufficient capacity,MAN MPLS VPN and EPON access technology to carry voice and data services of the base-stations is proposed,and various security technologies of base-staion backhaul are discussed.The existing network test indicates the feasibility of EPON access technology in carrying the base-station backhaul.
