Friction surfacing is an advanced solid‐state forming technology, which is widely used in many fields, such as repairing and remanufacturing. This study investigates the effect of T6 heat treatment on the properties of the friction surfacing coating of AA7075 aluminum alloy. First, the AA7075 aluminum alloy friction surfacing coating is fabricated, and its microstructure, hardness, tensile properties, and corrosion resistance are systematically analyzed. Subsequently, the coating undergoes T6 heat treatment, and the performance changes before and after the heat treatment are compared. The results of the study show that after T6 heat treatment, the grain size of the friction surfacing coating increases by ≈28% compared to the untreated coating, but the grain size remains finer than that of the original rod material. Compared to the untreated coating, the tensile strength of the heat‐treated coating increases by 14%, and the elongation improves significantly by 101%, reaching 84 and 213% of the original rod material, respectively. In terms of corrosion resistance, the corrosion rate of the heat‐treated coating decreases compared to the untreated sample, indicating that T6 treatment enhances the corrosion resistance of the coating.
