The study on the equity of medical and health resources distribution in Shanghai

Through the research and analysis of the equity of medical and health resources in Shanghai, this paper provides policy basis for optimizing the distribution of medical resources. By analyzing the resources and general information of the districts in Shanghai in 2020, this paper draws the Lorentz curve, calculates the Gini coefficient, and clusters the districts. The population distribution of medical and health resources in Shanghai is relatively average, but the distribution among regions is extremely uneven. The equity of the distribution of medical workers is also relatively insufficient. The government should improve macro-control, and increase financial investment in regions with weak economic development to promote the rational flow of medical workers between regions.
