The porous SiO2-TiO2 film by a sol-gel technique on glass sheet, experiments on photocatalysis degradation of HCHO. The effects of amount SiO2-doped, of calcination temperature, solution pH and initial concentration of formaldehyde on photocatalysis degradation are studied. Results show that the performance of SiO2-TiO2 film is the best, when SiO2: TiO2 = 12 : 100 and at 500 ℃ is calcined for 1 h. After 150 min, the degradation percentage of formaldehyde is 76 which is 1. 3 times as that of TiO2 film. The maximum degradation percentage only decreased by 4 after 8 times repeated use.
