Effect of 17 β-estradiol on Ca2+ channel in mouse C2C12 myoblasts

The present study has investigated effect of 17β-estradiol on Ca2+channel in mouse C2C12 myoblasts. Whole cell Patch-clamp analysis was used to observe the effects of different doses of 17β-estradiol on changes of Ca2+channel in C2C12 myoblasts. Currents of Ca2+were recorded in 67% C2C12 myoblasts. Groups of 30 mol · L-1and 20 mol L-1increased currents of Ca2+significiantly (P-1did not change. The present results revealed that 17β-estradiol may regulate C2C12 myoblasts by opening Ca2+channel in myoblast cell line C2C12.
