Study on Total Flavonoid Content of Various Germplasms of Andrographis paniculata

Objective:To study the content of total flavonoid in various germplasms of Andrographis paniculata for rational development of Andrographis paniculata.Methods:Using Rutin as the standard,UV visible spectrophotometry method was employed for the determination of flavonoid in Andrographis paniculata.Results:This method was precisely measured the total flavonoid content of various germplasms of Andrographis paniculata,in which the total flavonoid content in roots,stems,leaves and seeds of Andrographis paniculata in the area of Guangzhou were 2.33、3.03、8.14、0.48 mg/g.Conclusion:Flavonoids exist in various germplasms of Andrographis paniculata,and the maximum of the content of total flavonoid were leaves.
