Machine-vision-based automatic dimensioning for mechanical part images

The automatic dimensioning for 2D geometric mechanical part images plays an important role in a vision detection system.In this regard,an automatic dimensioning method is proposed via MATLABTM for lines,circles and arcs.Through coordinate transformation,the corresponding dimensioning formulae,along with implementation procedure,are deduced based on geometric features.From experimental results,the feasibility and effectiveness are validated on this study.
