Objective To explore the clinical results of percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP) or percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP) for treatment of multisegments osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF) on aged patients. Methods 30 patients(108 vertebral) with OVCF were treated by PKP or PVP.VAS was used to evaluate the pain of the patients at 0,24 and 48 weeks respectively after the operation. Results At 0,24 and 48 week after operation, the VAS scores decreased significantly(P 0.01).Conclusions It can reduce the pain of patients with OVCF by using PVP or PKP,which is simple, safe and efficient.
