Development of a carbon paste electrode modified by bromopyrogallol red and determination of micro antimony

A carbon paste electrode modified by bromopyrogallol red was prepared and used as a working electrode for the selective preconcentration of antimony*# in the presence of CuCl. The conditions of anodic stripping voltammetry for the determination of Sb was studied.The proposed method had good selectivity and high sensitivity,the detection limit is 2.0×10 -9 mol/L.The method had been successfully applied to the determination of trace antimony in zinc electrolyte with satisfactory results.
