ChemInform Abstract: Preparation and Characterization of Pillared Hectorite Catalysts.

Abstract Pillaring natural hectorite with Al 2 O 3 , Al 2 O 3 ‐ ZrO 2 , and ZrO 2 Cluster generates microporous structures stable in air to 600°C. Initially these clays contain both Brpnsted and Lewis acid sites distributed as in the parent hectorite.
