摘要
This article proposes a rotation-restrained energy-dissipation device (RED) for the seismic control of a three-span curved isolated bridge. The configuration and working mechanism of RED are introduced in detail, and the finite element and simplified model are therefore derived. The seismic responses, parametric analysis and ground motion sensitivity analysis of the isolated bridge with and without RED are conducted to study the effectiveness of RED. Results show that RED can significantly reduce the displacement of the deck and the deformation of the isolated bearings, and make the column shear force at middle and side piers more balanced.
