The behaviour of DPS in separation of Cu Mo mixture and mixed Cu Mo concentrate was investigated, and the relations of DPS with chalcopyrite depression and pulp potential were discussed. The results showed that DPS has selective depressing effect on chalcopyrite and galena. When the mixed Cu Mo concentrate containing 15.14% w (Mo), 2.03% w (Cu) and 0.09% w (Pb) was separated at a pulp plt of 10, Mo concentrate containing 28.26% w (Mo), 0.96% w (Cu) and 0.035% w (Pb) can be obtained with a recovery of 94.75% Mo. The depressing effect of DPS on chalcopyrite resulted from reduction in potential of pulp.
