Scientific management measures and benefit analysis in dredging of Baoshan harbor

This paper studies the scientific management measures in dredging of Baoshan harbor for reducing the dredged sediment volume and improving the harbor′s economic benefit.At least 52,000 m3 dredged sediment could be reduced in the perennial maintenance zone by prolonging the interval time between two dredging,controlling the depth of dredging in waterway entrance,maintaining the stability conditions of river flows outside the harbor,and setting up a transitional sedimentation trough,etc.
