Objective To explore the clinical value of Mycoplasma pneumoniae rapid identification of culture medium in identification of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. Methods 600 cases of acute respiratory tract infection patients with pharyngeal swab specimens were cultured with Mycoplasma pneumoniae rapid identification of medium, and the culture result was analyzed with statistical method. Results A total of 148 stains of Mycoplasma pneumonia isolated from 600 samples, the Mycoplasma pneumonia positive rate was 24.7%;men accounted for 25.3%(76/300),women accounted for(72/300),there was no significant difference between male and female(P0.05);Positive cases of 0-15 age group,16-35 age group and 36-70 age group were 16 cases,9 cases,123 cases respectively, positive rate was 61.5%, 8.0% and 61.5% respectively;there was significant difference among 0-15 age group,16-35 age group and 36-70 age group(P0.01),16-35 age group and 36-70 age group had no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Mycoplasma pneumoniae test results are accurate, convenient, fast, especially for 0-15 patients with high detection rate, which can be used as general laboratory test of choice for diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection.
