Study on Method for Determination of Chlorophyll in Cherry Leaves

Several organic reagents and the mixed of them were used in the experiment to extract chlorophyll from cherry leaves of Longtianwanhong at various time.The results showed that the mixed reagent of 80% acetone with 95% ethyl alcohol in ratio of 1∶1 had the best result and the extracted chlorophyll was as high as 3.848 mg/g,which was significantly higher than with the other organic reagents.With 95% ethyl alcohol the extracted chlorophyll was the lowest of 2.682 mg/g;14 h’s extraction had the highest extracted chlorophyll and after 16 h’s extraction,the extracted chlorophyll would keep stable.
