A hierarchical structure consisting of In 2 S 3 nanoparticles decorated on ZnO nano arrays is synthesized via a straightforward coupling way. Compared to bare ZnO nano arrays, high photoresponse is measured through the coupling of ZnO nano arrays with In 2 S 3 nanostructures. The hierarchical structure exhibited high-performance UltraViolet (UV) detection with a short recovery time, and its self-powered operation is notable in counterpart of pure In 2 S 3 nanoparticles. It will offer a cost-efficient approach for fabricating high-performance photodetectors utilizing a metal oxide hierarchical structure.
