The intracellular fatty acid-binding proteins(FABPs) are members of the superfamily of lipid-binding proteins(LBP).A role for FABPs in fatty acid transport has been confirmed. In recent years,The function of FABPs that transfer the fatty acids and involved in the fatty acid metabolism has been confirmed by more direct tests.Further research in FABPs have great significance in prevention and treatment of fatty liver.
